Borrower's Responsibilities:
- Borrowers will abide by the University Libraries' policies
- Borrowers are responsible for material issued under their ID#
- Borrowers should become familiar with the University Libraries' Lending Code
- Borrowers should keep their address current in both in My Library Account and in ILLiad
- Borrowers are responsible for returning material to the Interlibrary Loan office at University Park before the due date. (For further information see section below on How Items Will Be Delivered.)
What can be requested:
- Circulating material (books, DVDs, CDs) located at any Penn State library
- Articles from journals located at any Penn State library
- Circulating material (books, DVDs, CDs) and journal articles not owned by Penn State
Loan Periods:
- Books and CDs Owned by Penn State - semester loan with 2 renewals
- Video (VHS, DVD) Owned by Penn State - 1 week with 1 renewal
- Books Not Owned by Penn State borrowed through E-ZBorrow - 4 week loan with 1 renewal
- Circulating materisl (books, DVDs, CDs) Not Owned by Penn State borrowed through ILLiad - Loan period varies depending upon Lending Library; usually 4 to 8 weeks loan period
- All material is subject to recall
Delivery of materials:
- Books will be sent via UPS or US Mail to the address in your ILLiad profile.
- Due to delivery costs and time constraints, we may not be able to deliver outside of the continental United States.
Returning of materials:
- You are responsible for returning them to the Interlibrary Loan office at University Park on or before the due date. A return mailing label will be included with the item. The user is responsible for return shipping costs. You can return them via UPS or US Mail to the address below. Please wrap items securely. You are responsible for any damage incurred upon returning. You also can return the books to any Penn State University Libraries campus or branch library circulation desk.

- Journal articles will be delivered as Adobe Acrobat® (.pdf) files to your ILLiad account.
Items that cannot be delivered:
- Non-circulating items, such as reference, rare books, microfilm, special collections, periodical volumes, and reserve items. You will need to come to the library to use these materials.
