IT Project Workflow

Request submitted

Requests are submitted through the Project Request Form.  I-Tech receives the requests and routes them to appropriate vetting group(s) for evaluation and suggested prioritization.

Vetting Process

Vetting Groups include: steering and advisory committees (e.g., Sirsi Steer, DAST, etc.) Projects with high cost/impact/scope are often routed through several areas as well as Library Administration.  Many projects are able to be approved and prioritized directly by I-Tech or DLT.

Approved Projects

Approved projects land in the project pipeline. From there they are scheduled and at start of project a project team, project manager, etc. are assigned.

Plan, Build,Test Implement

The project team plans the project with the requestor, stakeholders, etc., builds the service and after thorough testing rolls it out for implementation.

Assessment and Closure

Assessment of the process, final product, etc. is conducted at the close of every IT project.
