About Library Learning Services

Library Learning Services coordinates activities such as course-related instruction, the use of instructional classrooms, research seminars, library tours, and instructional design within the Libraries. LLS also coordinates an annual Open House and a variety of outreach programs to introduce students, faculty and staff, as well as community groups, to the Libraries' University Park facilities — including the Library Research Basics seminars, and seminars for RefWorks and Endnote.

Pattee-Paterno Library welcome desks are staffed by LLS full-time and part-time staff.

The Gateway Commons and the Gateway Reference Desk, located on the first floor of central Pattee, is a part of Library Learning Services, providing reference assistance in-person, as well as via telephone and on-line chat. In addition, LLS offers an individually-tailored research consulting service to guide students through the research process.

Library Learning services also maintains the Leisure Reading collection, located inside the Reserve Reading Room on the first floor of West Pattee.
