Books Elsewhere is used to include links to the sources that best support the students visiting this particular Subject Guide. Click the Fast Track List button.
Then select the appropriate sources from the list shown below, clicking Add to Header after each. They will show in the top box. When you have selected all of the sources you want to include, click Save selected titles.
When you are directed to the previous screen, click the Save Books button to ensure all of your changes have been saved.
Click Back, and return to the main page for your guide.
Journal Search Tips: Once again, you have the option of keeping this.
Article Database: This works the same as Books Elsewhere.
Links to external sites: Add links if you would like to.
Get the full text: the E Journals list link is broken. It must be changed to http://www.libraries.psu.edu/eres/PSU_azlist.html in the HTML coding.
If you would like to include General Search Tips, select that box and include the text want to have here.
Selecting a Research Topic and Evaluating Resources for Content are pre-filled texts. If you do not wish to use them, uncheck the Show Text boxes.
The same for Citing your Sources (you may use the pre-filled text, edit it, or uncheck Show Text to leave it out.
If you wish to use Test Yourself, you may check the box and input any questions you wish to include.
When you are finished, click Save Research Tips.
Add Link to External Guide: Use this if you create a guide you want to link to this page. It will replace what the faculty and students would normally see in the guide content with the external site. However, if you have information here, it will not be erased.
Add Headers: If you would like additional headers, you can add them here. There is also a place to add external links.
Rearrange Headers: You can rearrange the headers so that they aren’t in the order of the template.
Link Guide: This page lets you associate this guide with individual courses, and also to general campuses, colleges and departments. A particular course will be linked first to a guide assigned to it directly, then by course abbreviation, then department, then college, and finally campus.
View Guide: Give it a check before you finalize it.
