Guides can be linked to only one of the following: A specific course or courses, all courses under a course-abbreviation, an entire department (includes all course-abbreviations served by that department), or an entire College (includes all departments in that college). A particular course will be linked first to a guide assigned to it directly, then by course abbreviation, then department, then college, and finally campus. Example: American Studies is a course-abbreviation (AM ST) in the English (ENGL) department, which is part of the College of Liberal Arts (L A). If linking a guide to all AM ST courses, you do not need to also specify ENGL as the department and L A as the college.
Only link your guide to a department or course AFTER you have created your guide and it is ready to be seen by the students. From the edit mode of the particular guide you wish to link, click on "Link Guide"at the top.
To link a guide to an entire College, Department or Course Abbreviation:

Click on the “search” button next to the phrase “associated courses”

You can then click “Search” to browse a list of courses taught on your campus (the most general way to search), OR select the department and/or input a keyword or course number in the “keyword” box and click the “Search” button.
Click the box next to the course(s) you want to link, and then click on the “save selected courses” in the blue bar to complete the linking mechanism.

A confirmation page appears. Click on “back” in the blue bar to return to the main linking page, and the “back” again to return to your main edit page.
