There are four library instruction options available for ENGL 015 classes. Please choose the options that work best for you and your students.
We also welcome the opportunity to collaborate with you to create or improve library research assignments. Call us at 814.865.9257 or send us an email (UL-instruct@lists.psu.edu).
This guide highlights the most useful resources for English 015 assignments, providing a jumping-off point for your students:
To orient students within the large and confusing Pattee/Paterno complex, we offer library tours.
Do your students need to locate a scholarly article, a newspaper editorial, or information about Penn State history? We create brief, custom Jing videos for this type of how-to instruction. We will email you the videos and ask you to forward them to your class; the email will include a librarian’s contact info and an invitation to set up research consultations on an as-needed basis. Use our online form to request this custom online instruction.
This is a new initiative, and we are very excited about its potential — let us know what you think!
If you feel that your students’ needs are not addressed by the research guide, a tour, or customized on-line contact with a librarian, we are happy to provide class workshops tailored to their specific needs. These workshops are designed to be hands-on, so students should have their research topics at the time of the class. Use our Library Instruction Request Form (University Park Only) to request a workshop
