Services For Faculty

Library Instruction

Schedule a time for a librarian to meet with your class or your group. We can address topics needed to complete a specific course assignment or you may choose from a variety of other research related items we typically address with students.

Please see the page on Library Instruction for more details.

Course Reserves

Reserve items faculty select for specific classes are shelved at the Circulation desk.  Most items are loaned for 2 hours to be used within the Library.

Electronic Reserves (E-Reserves) can be photocopied materials or articles from research databases that are made available online through The CAT.  These readings can be accessed 24 hours a day from any computer with Internet Access.

Contact Peggy Angelovich for assistance with reserves.

Research Support

Librarians are available to provide professional research support. If you would like assistance locating a specific item or working with any of Penn State's library research resources, just ask.  We can help with specific research needs or can offer a more general orientation to using the library or conducting research in your subject area.

Suggest New Items for the Library

We are constantly reviewing new materials to add to the library.  If you have suggestions of books, videos, or other items that would be useful to students, please let us know.

New Book Reviews

Stay current with the new books in your field.  Many faculty on campus receive monthly updates of new book titles along with reviews.  If you would like to receive monthly book reviews send a request to Tom Reinsfelder at tlr15@psu.edu.  Please indicate if you would like to receive reviews in print or by email and which subjects you would like to receive (see list below).
