MediaTech will continue to provide efficient services and cutting edge equipment to supplement the pedagogical needs of faculty and students.
MediaTech will continue to evaluate staffing needs and will continue to reorganize our staffing structure when necessary.
MediaTech will continue to upgrade the equipment inventory with new technologies.
MediaTech supports the hiring of a media librarian who will collaborate with other librarians within the University Libraries to: develop media services; increase access to media material both at Penn State and nationwide; ensure increased access to the collection housed at MediaTech including integration with other Libraries' collections; assess our current film and video collection; make archival recommendations; and recommend appropriate additions to the collection.
MediaTech will promote student learning and collaboration by creating preview rooms in our new facilities in Wagner Annex to accommodate groups of six to eight students.
MediaTech will have increased visibility and an improved presence on campus with our relocation to Wagner Annex. Equipment, films, videos and DVDs will be distributed from this location to students and faculty. Repair and media support services will be offered more efficiently with the move to Wagner.
MediaTech will continue collaborative relationships with other University units to create quality instructional facilities.
MediaTech will continue promotional activities, including a redesign of MediaTech's Web site.
