How to Grow a 600-Page Comic Book in 15 Years or Less

Graphic novelist Anders Nilsen visited the Libraries recently to talk about his book, "Big Questions," which won the Lynd Ward Prize for Graphic Novel of the Year. For more information, see the Pennsylvania Center for the Book website.

On display in Robb Hall, Hintz Alumni Center, through January 15, 2013. Featuring research innovations by Penn State faculty.

Heinrich Hoffmann's Stories for Children and the Emergence of the Modern Picture Book

On display in the Special Collections Library, first floor, Paterno Library. The exhibition explores the work of Hoffmann, a German psychiatrist whose popular book "Struwwelpeter" has delighted children since its first publication in 1845.

Hajjar Heritage

This online exhibit re-creates a fall 2004 exhibit showcased by the Centre County Historical Society, featuring the architecture of A. William Hajjar. Hajjar, a Penn State faculty member in the 1950s and 60s, challenged the conservative look of the State College community with his contemporary-style homes.
