Finding Abbreviations in Chemistry

Finding the full title of a journal when all that you've got is an abbreviation can be quite a challenge sometimes. Here are some resources that might help. Remember, if you need help, just ASK!

CASSI (Chemical Abstracts Service Source Index) Z5526 .A35 - Standard abbreviatons for the chemical sciences. Organized by abbreviation. Also provides list of libraries that own that particular title. (The code for Penn State is PSt.)

Web of Science - Abbreviations list is hotlinked on the "Citation Search" page.

ISI Master Journals List - Master list for ISI Indexes, including Web of Science.
