Penn State now has access to Journal Citation Reports (JCR)

“The recognized authority for evaluating journals, Journal Citation Reports presents quantifiable statistical data that provides a systematic, objective way to evaluate the world's leading journals and their impact and influence in the global research community.” Most known for the Impact Factor rating, JCR also provides several other measures that can be used to evaluate scholarly journals for authors, editors, and researchers. You can access JCR through the Web of Science database by selecting the Additional Resources tab at the welcome screen. Please feel free to ask for assistance in getting the most out of the scholarly publishing data in this resource.

Women in Science Display

The Physical and Mathematical Sciences Library has profiles of several notable women scientists in the display cases located on the left after entering the library. The materials are reproductions from books in the collection of the PAMS library and other science libraries on campus. Even though Women's History Month has passed the display will remain, so stop by to check it out and pick up a free bookmark.
