This tutorial is intended for the individual who knows of an existing invention or patent and would like more information. Important to remember is that the information you already know is always your best starting point. The goal of your search is to find patent(s) that relate to the invention or device you know about or have invented. Consider that this type of search often requires additional information before the patents databases or indexes can be of use.
