Description: The last few elections have proven how important each individual’s vote can be in deciding who is elected. From the contested 2000 presidential results in Florida, to the 2004 Washington state gubernatorial election, to the 2nd Connecticut District House race in 2006 decided by just 91 votes, elections are being decided by astonishingly small margins. Come explore with us resources focusing on the 2008 elections.

Description: Making informed decisions about the warp and woof of the University Libraries collection is one of the major tasks of subject specialists. We will explore the various tools used by subject specialists to make informed collection decisions and demonstrate how these are used to make practical decisions. We will look at resources such as: GOBI, Directors Work Station, reports from ILL, and a variety of related resources.
