    This site has been developed by the National Recreation and Park Association in conjunction with ActiveUSA. This interactive site allows you to search local parks across the United States by activity and amenity.

  • American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance
    This is the Web site of the largest organization of professionals involved in physical education, dance, health, athletics, safety education, recreation, and outdoor recreation.

  • American Therapeutic Recreation Association
    This is the Web site of an association for American therapeutic recreation professionals and students. It is a good source of information on career opportunities in therapeutic recreation. The site even posts recent job openings in the field.

  • Cruise Lines International Association
    A rich source of information on the cruise industry.

  • International Federation of Park and Recreation Administration (IFPRA)
    For more than forty years, IFPRA has promoted the advancement of parks, recreation, and leisure services. It also disseminates information and organizes international meetings and congresses.

    This trade association's site is a good source of industry statistics. It is also useful for finding information about issues facing the skiing industry, such as proposed government regulations.

    This is the official website of the PGA of America. It is a good source of industry information, including the latest news on golf equipment. There is also information on employment opportunities in golf facilities. Additionally, this is a good source of information on upcoming golf tournaments.

    An excellent source of fast facts on the travel and tourism industry in the United States, as well as news and trends relating to the industry.     This association promotes the professionalization of outdoor leadership and trains and certifies outdoor leaders.
