The CAT - Find Books and Other Materials at Penn State

You can search the CAT by entering book titles or authors' names. Authors' names should be listed in the CAT according to standard Spanish usage.  You cannot enter accent marks.

Examples: Garcia Marquez, Gabriel or reino del mundo

To do a subject search, it is important to understand that literature is organized in the CAT by country, not language. The subject heading "Spanish literature" refers to literature from Spain. Examples of useful subject headings:

  • Mexican literature
  • Mexican literature -- 20th century
  • Spanish drama - 16th century - History and criticism
