Collection Development Policy (.pdf)
Browsing/Leisure Reading Collection: Has the latest popular fiction and nonfiction titles. This collection is classfied in the Dewey Decimal System and can be found in the lounge area of the main floor.
General Collection: Resources total over 40,000 volumes and can be found by searching the CAT. New books are displayed for one week and may circulate. Books in the circulating collection are the books you'll find in the stacks on the 2nd floor and are classified according to the Library of Congress system.
Periodicals Collection: Ciletti Memorial Library has over 100 periodicals in print, many of which include journals, newspapers, and popular magazines. Print periodicals cannot be checked-out, and are found on the first floor of the library arranged alphabetically.
You can search the journal title in the CAT and selecting "Journal Title" from the drop-down menu and "ALL" from the In Library menu. Online journals can also be found using the e-journal list. For journals that we do not own, request the article through our Interlibrary Loan service.
Reference Collection: Books in the reference collection cannot be checked out and are located on the main floor near the PCs. Reference materials are a great place to start your research. They can help you explore the background and issues surrounding a topic. Many reference books are now available at the Online Reference Shelf.
Video/Media Collection: Contains audio and video instructional materials as well as the latest and popular DVDs. Search the videos by genre using our video wall, or search the CAT to find these items.
Special Collections:
Local History and Geneaology Guide (.pdf)
The County Collection holds Schuylkill County historical books and materials about the Anthracite Coal Region. It also contains a wide range of materials on the Pennsylvania Germans, both their culture and their language. Many of the materials in this collection were donated by the late Edward Fox.
The Dorothy Jones Collection consists of books donated to the library in 1989 from a private collection. The collection selectively depicts the reading habits of two families over the course of two centuries.

The O'Hara Collection consists of books by or about the author John O'Hara, a native of Pottsville, PA and best-selling writer who drew on his local experiences for most of his fiction.
Many of John O'Hara's papers and a recreation of his Linebrook study in Princeton, NJ are housed in the Pennsylvania State University's Special Collections Library at University Park, PA.

The Richter Collection consists of books and other materials by or about Conrad Richter and his daughter, Harvena, both writers and natives of Pine Grove, PA.
