The Lartz Memorial Library has over 35,000 books, 160 journal and newspaper subscriptions, and a large media collection including videos, DVDs, and CDs. In addition to the resources at the Lartz Library, library users also have access to library materials owned by other libraries at Penn State, which collectively include more than 4.9 million book titles, more than 58,000 journal subscriptions, plus more than 400 databases and over 13,000 electronic journals, most with full-text availability.
Library materials not available a the Lartz Library can be borrowed from other Penn State locations using the "I Want It" service in the library catalog -- the CAT. This service is available to anyone registered with the library, and typically items requested take less than a week to be delivered to the Shenango Campus.
Faculty, students, and staff also have the ability to request materials from other Pennsylvania libraries through the EZ-Borrow and AccessPA interlibrary lending programs, in addtion to materials from around the world through Interlibrary Loan. The delivery of these materials typically takes a few weeks depending on availabiltiy and material type.
The Lartz Library is equipped with a large computer lab, a technology classroom, and workstations throughout the library where students may search electronic resources, the CAT, and the Web. Public photocopiers and a student scanner are also available
