Children’s Bureau (1912-1913)
The Children’s Bureau was established by act of Apr. 9, 1912 (37 Stat. 79 as amended; 42 U.S.C. 191 et seq.). The Bureau was transferred to the Department of Labor (L5) by act of Mar. 4, 1913 (37 Stat. 737).
