National Technical Information Service (1970- )
The Clearinghouse for Federal Scientific and Technical Information was established within the Department of Commerce in 1965 succeeding the Office of Technical Services in the Business and Defense Services Administration (C 41). The Clearinghouse was superseded by the National Technical Information Service on September 2, 1970.
