Regional Economic Development Office (January 6-December 22, 1966)
The Regional Economic Development Office was established by the Secretary of Commerce on January 6, 1966 pursuant to the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965 (79 Stat. 552; 42 U.S.C. 3131). The Office was abolished by Departmental Order 5A on December 22, 1966 and functions were transferred to the Economic Development Administration (C 46).
