United States Travel and Tourism Administration (1961-1996)
The United States Travel Service was established by the Secretary of Commerce on July 1, 1961 pursuant to the International Travel Act of 1961 (75 Stat. 129; 22 U.S.C. 2121 note). The name was changed to United States Travel and Tourism Administration by Public Law 97-63 on October 16, 1961. The agency was abolished by Public Law 104-288 on October 11, 1996.
