Weather Bureau (1940-1965)
The Weather Bureau (A 29) was transferred from the Department of Agriculture to the Department of Commerce by Reorganization Plan No. 4 of 1940 effective June 30, 1940. The Bureau was placed under the Environmental Science Services Administration (C 52) by Reorganization Plan No. 2 of 1965 effective July 13, 1965.
