CIO Anti-Discrimination Posters

Mankind will endure when the world appreciates the logic of diversity. --Indira Gandhi
These posters, along with a number

of others on display, were created

and distributed by the CIO

(Congress of Industrial Organizations)

Committee to Abolish Discrimination.

From its inception in August 1942

the committee's stated goal was

"to bring about the effective organization

of the working men and women of

America regardless of race, creed, color

or nationality, and to unite them for

common action into labor unions for

their mutual aid and protection."
