Library Seminars

I

n 1989, the University Libraries offered electronic access to a single database-the catalog of the Pennsylvania State University. Today, in addition to that database, library patrons now have access to more than thirty electronic indexes, as well as to the Internet, with its millions of pages of information.

To help users learn more about the increasingly diverse array of databases accessible through the Library Information Access System (LIAS), the University Libraries offer seminars designed to enable users to maximize their searching power.

To register or learn more about the seminars, send an e-mail to signup@psulias.psu.edu. Additional questions may be addressed to Doris Herr at (814) 863-0325. Information on the seminars can be found by typing HELP WORKSHOP when using LIAS or on the Libraries' Web site at http://www.libraries.psu.edu.
