History of the Library and Collection Description
Built and dedicated in 1970, the Library at Penn State Worthington Scranton was originally designed to house 100,000 books, reference materials, microforms, periodicals, maps, and computer disks satisfying day-to-day needs of Penn State students.
The Library’s collection includes all the volumes and materials in all the libraries which make up the Penn State University Libraries system. In all, students have access to over 4.5 million items. Students access these materials via the online catalog, The CAT - part of the Web-based Library Information Access System, LIAS.

Laptops and Wireless: The Library is fully wirelesss on both floors, and has 26 laptop computers available for loan to faculty and students (in-library use only). Laptops come with carrying cases and support wireless internet access.
Location and Hours
The Library of the Worthington Scranton campus is located off University Drive in Dunmore, Pennsylvania 18512-1699.
