Cited Footnotes or References

References (probably more familiar to you as "Works Cited"), appear at the very end of an article and cite all of the sources used by the author in preparing the article. Note the differences in references for these two articles: in Example #1, the references continue for nearly six more pages; in Example #2, seven references make up the entire source set.

Example #1

From "Nationwide Newspaper Coverage of Physician-Assisted Suicide: A Community Structure Approach", Journal of Health Communication, 2004.

Example #2

From "Iraqi Torture Photographs and Documentary Realism in the Press", Journalism Studies, 2005.
