Penn State University Archives
Collections - Penn State Genealogy

“Could you please send information on my grandfather who went
to Penn State in the early 1920’s?” is an example of the many
genealogical inquiries we receive about former students. We also receive
many requests for information on former faculty members. There are various
resources to use to find a Penn State connection, as alumni directories,
La Vie yearbooks and student directories. We have files on many current
and former members of the faculty and administration that contain biographical
information.
Some of the items in the collection can be found in the Penn State Libraries
Catalog, "The Cat," but any question dealing with the University or Centre
County is worth a visit to the University Archives. Materials do not circulate
and must be used in the room, although photocopy services are available.
