Reference Services

We welcome inquiries about materials in the Special Collections Library from both on-site and remote users. Although on-site users may have already identified Special Collections materials in the online catalog (the CAT) or other sources, we conduct a brief interview with every user to see what additional materials we may able to help them locate.

We especially encourage researchers who are traveling from long distances to check hours and announcements on this web site for current information. If researchers have identified materials from our finding aids, catalog, or other sources that they wish to consult during their visit, they should communicate with Special Collections before arriving here. Some materials are stored off-site and can require 24-48 hours to retrieve.
