The Commonwealth Acquisitions Services Team (CAST) provides services
for 21 off-site campus libraries. The team is comprised of four members:
Polly Daniels, Carolyn
Hertzog, and Diane Sawyer.
Team services include:
- Determining the appropriate source and completing orders that cannot be completed by campuses
- Sending orders to vendors/publishers
- Processing invoices for payment of all campus materials except for subscriptions and standing orders
- Returning materials to vendors/publishers (wrong or damaged materials only)
- Processing credits from vendors/publishers
- Sending claims to vendors/publishers
- Solving problems with receipts, invoices, vendors, publishers, binding
- Tracking vendor performance
- Communicating with customers regarding concerns or questions. When we cannot answer a query, we will take the initiative to find the answer, or refer them to the appropriate source in the most timely fashion possible.
- Documenting and distributing procedures for customers.
- Participating in Unicorn Acquisitions Workflows training.
- Facilitating communication between University Park and the Commonwealth Campus Libraries
- Searching for out
of print materials
