Usage statistics are currently available to Penn State Libraries for many publishers and electronic resource vendors (aggregators). Currently, you may access usage statistics from four sources:
Scholarly Stats - consolidated vendor usage statistics for online journals.
DLT E-Resource Usage Statistics – E-Resource List (A-Z) - Usage statistics for databases and other resources available via the e-resource list.
SFX Use Statistics – Usage statistics generated when accessing electronic resources via SFX. SFX usage date only available from November 2004 onwards.
ERLIC (Electronic Resource Licensing Information Center) – Links from ERLIC records (under “Supplier” record look for “Usage Data Web Address) to vendor, publisher, and electronic resource vendor (aggregators) supplied usage statistics. If usage statistics not available, please contact Jaime Jamison jaj15@psulias.psu.edu or Becky Albitz rsa2@psulias.psu.edu
COUNTER – An increasing percentage of the usage statistics supplied by publishers and aggregators and available via ERLIC are in COUNTER compliant formats. COUNTER (Counting Online Usage of NeTworked Electronic Resources) is an international initiative designed to serve libraries, publishers, and electronic resource vendors by facilitating the recording and exchange of online usage statistics. COUNTER-compliant data are standardized to allow for ease of comparison across various vendors.
