The Maps Cataloging Team is one of five teams in Cataloging and Metadata Services, a department in the Technical and Collections Services Division of the University Park Libraries. It is located on the 1st floor of the Paterno Library.

The Maps Cataloging Team creates and maintains cartographic cataloging records for The CAT.

The University Libraries main cartographic collections are housed in the Maps Library and Special Collections Library - both located in the Paterno Library, and also in the Earth and Mineral Sciences Library, which is located in Deike Building on the University Park Campus. Many of the Commonwealth Campus Libraries in the Penn State system also maintain map collections.
