Marking Dewey Call Numbers on the ORF and Book

If you have a Dewey call number with an alphabetic prefix such as T or TB, the placement of the T or TB in the book differs from that on the ORF. On the ORF, the T or TB is the last element, just as it is the last element in the 090|b. In the book, however, the T or TB is put at the beginning, on the same line as the first part of the call number. Please note that the number following the decimal is also written on the first line of the call number.

On the last page of the book:

Rare Books
TB 094.9
P54
1810m

On the ORF:

Rare Books
094.9
P54
1810m
TB
