Logic & Structure of Heading Fields
The headings can be divided two ways to see the analogy between the indicators and subfields:

First Analogical Grouping (according to the function the heading performs in the record):

Main entries (1XX):100, 110, 111, *130
Added entries (7XX):700, 710, 711, *730, 740
Subject headings (6XX):*600, *610, *611, *630, *650, *651
Series (4XX, 8XX):440, 800, 810, 811, 830
Common elements:2nd indicator (usually 0)
      * Not valid in MLP

Second Analogical Grouping (according to the type of heading):

Personal name headings (X00):100, 600, 700, 800
Corporate name headings (X10):110, 610, 710, 810
Conference name headings (X11):111, 611, 711, 811
Title headings (X4X):240, 245, 246, 440, 740
Uniform title headings (X3X):*130, *630, *730, *830
Common elements:1st indicator
All Subfields
      * Not valid in MLP
