What Items Can Be Loaned?

Books, dissertations, theses, government documents, and some microfilms can be loaned. On special occasions it may be possible to obtain bound periodicals and microfilmed newspapers before 1990.

Dissertations: All years are available for loan. Copies of Penn State dissertations from 1939 to the present are available for purchase from ProQuest.

Media & Technology Support Services: To obtain videos and other materials from this special collection refer to MediaTech.

Newspapers: To view our collection see News and Microforms Library.

What Items Cannot Be Loaned?

Items that we usually cannot provide include:

  • Journal volumes
  • Reference
  • Rare or valuable books

Loan Periods:

The general loan period is 30 days.

  • Exception: AV Material - 1 week loan
  • All loans are subject to recall.

Renewals:

Please submit your renewal request via the Main Menu of your ILLiad Account.

Please submit your renewal request before the due date. ILLiad will not allow you to renew material after the due date has been reached.

Please be aware not all renewals will be granted.

*If you submitted the request via OCLC or Access PA, please use the same system for renewals.
