Scanning a Document

Saving the Image

Questions? Instruction sheets are available at the Reserves service desk

  1. Log-in to the computer, and click on the taskbar shortcut to start Photoshop
  2. Place page or photograph face-down on the flatbed glass
  3. In Photoshop, select File, Import, WIA-Microtek ScanMaker 90800XL
  4. Select the preferred image options from the "What do you want to scan?" window and click OK
  5. Click Preview to see how the image will display or click Scan
  6. The image will appear in Photoshop, where it can be adjusted, resized, rotated, and enhanced

First, save the image to the Desktop (this file will be deleted when you log-off)

Second, save the image to:

  • Zip Disk
  • CD
  • Floppy Disk

Or upload the Desktop file to:

  • PASS Space
  • Email

Instructions for saving to CD and for using PASS space are available at the Reserves service desk

Printing to a Library Network Printer

You can now print any document to a library network printer from a library workstation or laptop

Note: Save your document before printing

  1. Go to File, Print
  2. At the UnipriNT Client prompt, enter your Access ID
  3. At the next prompt, enter your Access Account Password twice
  4. Go to a Network Printer Station
  5. Insert your PSU ID+ card (you must have credit on your card to print!)
  6. Login to a Printer Station using your Access ID and password
  7. Click on your print job name to select
  8. Click on the Print button
  9. When finished, click Exit. Your ID card will automatically be ejected. Please do not attempt to remove your ID card manually!

Prices (deducted from your ID+/LionCash card balance only):

- single-sided sheet
12¢ - double-sided sheet
10¢ - single-sided sheet from a Telnet database
