Biographical or Historical Note

Jesse Smith Flory, Penn State graduate (landscape architecture, 1931) from East Stroudsburg, was a member of Alpha Zeta, Y.M.C.A. Council, Architects' Club, Topian Society, Scarab, and Activities Editor for LaVie yearbook. His brother, William Bradford Flory, graduated from the two-year agriculture program in 1925.

Collection Overview

The contents of this collection include Jesse Smith Florys class materials, such as textbooks and notes, mostly pertaining to forestry and agriculture. It includes report cards and matriculation cards from 1927 to 1929. There are several programs for university activities, such as a military ball and fraternity dances and personal items, such as an address book, greeting cards, and a diary. Also included are William Flory's notes from the 1924 school year, including courses in mechanical arts and dairy husbandry.
