"The Event," An Exhibit

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Nabokov's birth, the Institute of the History of Material Culture in Ekaterinburg, Russia, is presenting a literary and artistic exhibition dedicated to Nabokov's works entitled "The Event."

The exhibition includes:

1. A critical essay that defines the intent of the exhibit.
2. An ornamental batik panel inspired by motifs in Nabokov's works.
3. Verses from the collection "Transparent Mirrors."
4. A series of microphotographs of natural microtextures and a cycle of photographs of monumental-ornamental panels, theatre curtains, and backdrops which reflect the conception of the exhibit.
Participants in the exhibition include:
1. Tatiana Burakova, painter
2. Alla Vorivodina, poet
3. Valery and Konstantin Berdugin, photographers
4. Georgy Tikhomirov, art critic
