The Nabokov town house at Bol'shaya Morskaya 47 in St. Petersburg, where Vladimir Vladimirovich Nabokov was born in 1899. The family left the house in 1917. Today it houses the Nabokovskii fond, among other things. (Photo taken in the summer of 1990 by Dieter E. Zimmer.) Go here for a detail of the oriel, here for a view of the staircase, or here to take a look inside. For information on tours of the home offered by the Nabokov Museum in St. Petersburg, see the Tours page in Zembla.
