Access My Library: College Edition for iPhone/iPad

Instructions for Installing Access My Library College Edition iPhone/iPad App

    *Directions need to be followed on your mobile device.

    1.       Search in Apple App Store or the Google Play for ‘Access My Library College’ or click here for a direct link.

    2.       Chose platform you wish to install on your device. Click Install (applies to direct link).

    3.       Open App.

    4.       Chose State- Pennsylvania. Then choose Pennsylvania State University listed under “University Park”.

    5.       Once open, click “View Gale Resources”.  Then “Update My Resources”.

    6.       Penn State  password is psugale.

    7.       After password is accepted, click “View Gale Rsources” then click “Update My Resources” again, and the   app will load all Gale Resources that PSU subscribes to.  Can search through individual databases or use Gale Power Search to search across all databases.

Instructions for Installing Access My Library: College Edition Android App

1.       Search in Android Market for ‘Access My Library College’ or click here for a direct link.

2.       Chose platform you wish to install on your device. Click Install. Click Install (applies to direct link).

3.       Open App.

4.       Chose State- Pennsylvania. Then choose Pennsylvania State University listed under “University Park”.

5.       Asks for Login- input access account (XYZ123 no @psu.edu). Password is psugale.

6.       Click Access Resources.

7.       Will open Web browser to access information.  May ask to authenticate with user ID and password.

Instructions for Installing EBSCO iPhone/iPad and Android App

1.   Access any EBSCOhost database from the Libraries’ website (or click here for a direct link to an EBSCOhost database).
 

2.   Click the link at the bottom of any EBSCOhost page about the iPhone and Android Apps to email yourself the download instructions, access key, and a link to the iTunes app store or the Android Market.

Note:  You must access the link in Step 2 of the email instructions from your iOS or Android device or cut and paste the link into a browser window on the device. The activation link will expire in 24 hours.
 

3.   Follow the instructions in the email you receive. The email will come from ephost@epnet.com

Installing Bluefire Reader

1.      Download the app from the App Store or Google Play.

2.      Go to adobe.com and sign up for a free account.

3.      Open App

4.      Authorize use of App. You will need your Adobe login and password

5.      You will see “authorization successful…” Click OK.

6.      This app works best with EBL E-books. Open EBL. Enter PSU login and password.

7.      Find a book you would like to read.

8.      Click Read Online, then click Download on the left hand side of the screen.

9.      Choose format: PDF and the book will automatically open in Bluefire Reader.

To download a book to your mobile device: At Step 8 above, after clicking "Read Online" for a book, click Download on left side of the screen.

To get a particular book in EBL E-books to read on your mobile device:

At Step 8 above, after clicking "Read Online" for the book, this is what you will see. Select PDF format and click Download (both circled in red in picture at left), and the book will appear in Bluefire.
