Library Learning Services coordinates activities such as course-related instruction, the use of instructional classrooms, library tours, and instructional design within the Libraries. LLS also coordinates an annual Open House and a variety of outreach programs to introduce students, faculty, staff and community groups to the Libraries' University Park facilities.
Library Learning Services maintains the Leisure Reading collection and the Leisure Viewing collection. Both collections are housed in the Pattee Library Leisure Reading Room (near the Central Pattee entrance) as well as in the Franklin Atrium.
The mission of Penn State University Library Learning Services is to advocate for undergraduate students by inspiring learning through: leadership in information literacy; design and delivery of instructional programs and materials; and innovation in emerging and instructional technologies.
