The Media Collection of DVDs, VHS videocassette tapes, and 16mm films
were relocated in May 2014 to the University Libraries.
DVDs, videocassettes, and films can be requested by Penn State University students, faculty members, and staff members by using the “I Want It” button in the library’s catalog.
Faculty and staff who wish to reserve videos from the library for use on specific dates can submit requests using the video booking form.
For tips on finding DVDs and other videos in The CAT and using the “I Want It” button, see Search for Videos in The CAT. For in-person assistance, call or visit your campus library or the Music and Media Center in Pattee Library at University Park campus.
The Penn State University Libraries have over 70,000 videos (DVDs and VHS cassette tapes), including the 2,000 DVDs and 12,000 VHS tapes that have been in the Wagner Annex building at the University Park campus in Media and Technology Support Services.
Libraries and other institutions not affiliated with Penn State University may request loans of DVDs and other videos via Interlibrary Loan. The film and video rental service formerly provided to institutions not affiliated with Penn State University has ceased, and Interlibrary Loan is the recommended alternative.
