All materials will be placed on reserve at the request of faculty only for the noncommercial, educational use of students. Materials placed on Course Reserve will be made available for students and faculty only during semesters when the requesting instructor is teaching the course, and will be removed after the course is no longer in session.
Copyright policy for electronic reserves is considered in compliance with U.S. Code: Title 17, Section 107 governing Fair Use. Specifically, any reproduction, either photocopied or electronic, of copyrighted material that is placed on Course Reserve at any Penn State University library, will conform to the following:
Electronic files such as PDFs, Word documents, PowerPoint slideshows, etc. may be sent via email attachment. To send files of requested readings to your Course Reserves staff, please follow these steps:
Readings that are available through library-licensed databases or on the open Web may be requested. If requesting documents on public websites, please provide URLs in the fields provided. Photocopies are not required for documents available online. Processing time: 2-3 days.
Note: All processing times are approximate and will vary depending on the time of the semester, the amount and availablility of material, and other factors.
