Available Software

Computer Software

Computers in the library managed by Penn State Information Technology offer a variety of software applications. A list of software is available through the IT Computer Lab Software webpage.  A number of software programs also are available via remote access, so that you have access to the tools you need, no matter your location. Students and faculty can access computer lab software through WebLabs, which offers remote access to software on lab computers.

Computers managed by University Libraries, located in Pattee and Paterno, offer specialized software, outlined below.  Please note that if the maximum limit of concurrent users is reached for a software package, no matter the location, it will not be available on other computers designated for specialized software packages.

The Information Technology team with the College of the Liberal Arts also offers remote software on their computers via their Horizon Virtual Desktop service. Visit their Virtual Desktop Available Software page for details.
