We will consider on a case-by-case basis unsolicited offers of rare books, manuscripts, and archival collections that align with our current Collection Development Plan. However, due to current capacity constraints, we may not be able to consider all offers or reply in a timely manner. We are also temporarily not accepting additions to existing collections. Thank you in advance for your patience. Submitting Materials for Consideration

To share more information about the materials you would like to offer, please complete the form below. We will follow up with you if interested in the offer. If you do not hear from us, please consider the following options for donating materials:

Please note, we cannot accept Items or materials that duplicate existing holdings. To check our existing rare books and manuscripts, please search the Libraries Catalog. Our archival collections are described in greater detail via our Finding Aids website.

The following types of materials are out of scope and will not be considered:

  • Artifacts and three-dimensional objects, including plaques, medals, and trophies
  • Fine art photography, framed materials, paintings on canvas
  • Papers of university faculty not affiliated with Penn State
  • Penn State-related scrapbooks
  • Sports memorabilia and souvenirs
  • Textiles (except when in books, such as dye samples
  • Widely available contemporary printed works, including books, newspapers, magazines, and yearbooks
