Accessible Entrances
There is one at the main/front entrance that leads into the Knowledge Commons.
Wheelchairs
N/A at this time.
Elevators
There are two elevators located close to the main entrance at the end of the Atrium, and adjacent to the Writing Center.
Restrooms
There are a total of three restrooms located on the Knowledge Commons floor: one labeled as men's, one labeled as women's, and one that is gender neutral. The men’s and women’s each have an accessible stall. The gender-neutral bathroom is meant for a single person and is marked as accessible. It has grab bars/handrails for the toilet, an accessible shower with shower stool for students who use the fitness center, and accessible lockers. (The entry door may present issues for wheelchair users however, as it is a manual door and may be difficult to open, but an average-size wheelchair would fit through it).
Accessible Workstations
There are two accessible workstations: one for visitors, and one for student use with the other workstations in the Knowledge Commons.
Sensory and Neurodiversity Support
N/A at this time; however, Penn State Great Valley is developing a Sensory Room within the Knowledge Commons and is in the early stages of planning.
ADA Accessible Parking
There are twelve ADA spaces in front of the main campus building entryway.
Public Transit
While we are not near any public transit routes, Penn State Great Valley offers students a shuttle service to and from Paoli, PA. Note that seats on the shuttle are limited and are offered on a first come, first served basis. Students not able to be accommodated on the shuttle after all seats are allocated may need to take Uber or a cab to campus. There is no charge for the shuttle. The campus reserves the right to cancel the shuttle at any time and/or to change the shuttle route.
Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) offers bus and train service to nearby apartment complexes Monday through Thursday when classes are in session, weather permitting.
