Accessibility at the Lehigh Valley Library

Accessible Entrances

The entrance to the Lehigh Valley Library is located on the second floor, east wing of the Lehigh Valley campus building. This entrance has an automated door. Both first floor entrances to the Lehigh Valley campus building offer automated doors, as well.

Wheelchairs

One wheelchair is available in the campus nurse's office. Contact campus reception at 610-285-5000 for access. After hours, contact campus security at 610-285-5005.

Elevators

The Lehigh Valley campus building has two elevators. On the first floor, the elevators are located in the northwest corner of the lobby area (also known as Centre Hall). These elevators can be used to access the Lehigh Valley Library on the second floor.

Restrooms

There are no restrooms located inside the Lehigh Valley Library itself. Instead, restrooms are available in other parts of the Lehigh Valley campus building. Restrooms with automated doors are available on the first, second, and third floors of the building. Additionally, two gender neutral restrooms are available on the first floor of the building.

ADA Accessible Parking

Multiple parking areas are available at the Lehigh Valley campus including areas designated for persons with ADA parking placards. The visitor parking area (north side of the building) includes six spaces designated for persons with disability parking placards; two of these spaces are ramp-friendly.

Public Transit

Lehigh and Northampton Transit Authority (LANTA) provides service to Penn State Lehigh Valley via route 323, which travels from South Bethlehem to the campus. See the bus route for details.
