The Dr. Keiko Miwa Ross Global News Center inspires curiosity about our world by connecting the Penn State community and the public to a diversity of news outlets expressing the perspectives of people from around the world. In the Global News Center, emphasis is placed on current news in browsable formats, rather than research databases.

We provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for experiencing global perspectives via high-quality, professional journalism. We do this by offering access to a wide variety of news content in different media to all who visit our space. We strive to reflect the diversity of the Penn State community and beyond, and to provide access to resources to all who visit our space.

We have current and recent copies of news publications from around the world, including:

• Six local Pennsylvania newspapers including the Centre Daily Times and the Harrisburg Patriot-News;
• 12 major U.S. metropolitan newspapers, including the Philadelphia Inquirer, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and Washington Post;
• Four financial newspapers including the Wall Street Journal and IBD Weekly;
• Four African-American newspapers including the New Pittsburgh Post and Philadelphia Tribune;
• 25 non-U.S. newspapers in 11 languages;
• 25 news magazines from nine countries, in six languages, offering a variety of viewpoints.

To provide users with the most up-to-date issues, many of these newspapers are printed in-house daily.
